Frequently asked questions

Is Ovendrop available nationwide?

Not yet — Ovendrop currently operates in Florida and Minnesota only. We're expanding to additional states over time. If you're outside those two states, check back soon or sign up to be notified when we launch in your area.

Are Ovendrop bakers licensed and inspected?

Ovendrop bakers operate under their state's cottage food law — Florida or Minnesota — which permits home bakers to sell certain shelf-stable baked goods directly to consumers without a commercial kitchen or state permit. Cottage food products are made in home kitchens and are not subject to state food safety inspection. Bakers are required to accurately label ingredients and major allergens on every listing.

How does pickup work? Do you ship?

Ovendrop is a local pickup marketplace — there is no shipping. After you place an order and the baker accepts, you coordinate a pickup time through the in-app order chat. The baker shares their exact address at that point. Pickup is always in-person and local.

Can I order custom baked goods on Ovendrop?

It depends on the baker. Some bakers accept custom requests — for a special occasion, a specific flavor, or a larger quantity. Use the order chat or message the baker through their storefront page to ask. There's no universal custom-order system; it's between you and the baker.
